    1. Watched it. My question is simple. What lawful action could have they done to prevent TVK from forming the government?

  2. There is no need for that. Preventing them from forming government will be a major disaster. Governor's rule, centre's invasion and once again they'll win with single majority in re election with sympathy waves. That shouldn't happen. They have formed the government with a beautiful combination. Let it run. The game has just started and it's already very interesting.

    1. I have a genuine doubt. I really want to know it. And, nobody answers it straight. It's not a rhetorical question or sarcasm. What lawful thing could have DMK done to obstruct TVK from forming the government?

    2. DMK could have filed a petition to the Supreme Court to pass orders to conduct floor test immediately. Like it happened in 2018 K'taka Assembly Elections. Governor gave 15 days time to prove majority but it was cut short to 24 hours by the Supreme Court so that "nobody gets any time". (There two parties had majority[single largest and post-poll alliance]. That's a different scenario.)
The same could have been followed here.

DMK should've gone to SC on the day of results itself or the very next day. Giving time definitely leads to negotiations and horse-trading. SC can intervene Governor's decision to give time to prove majority, and instead order an immediate floor test.
Majority should be proved on the floor (S. R. Bommai case 1994) and not on Governor's personal assessment.
DMK should've done that. Failing to do paved way for LOTS OF TIME, travelling back and forth, negotiations, alliance, unconditional support, and other stuff.
