Cricket and Life

I still remember the days when I used to go to play cricket without the knowledge of my father. Apart from the wild pleasure it gives, cricket has always taught me so many life lessons.  The most important of them all is that rashness brings failure. I'd like to expound it with an example. I'm a batter and I have been in numerous situations when the pressure is too high.  If our team needed to score 15 runs or more in the last over, I would feel my heart in my mouth.  I would press the panic button and as a result I would end up failing to chase the target. One day, I was in such a situation that our team wouldn't win even if I hit 6 sixes in the last over. I could realise that I was not nervous. I was able to stay calm and composed and played my natural game.  As a result, I hit 2 sixes in that over which would not be possible if I had actually intended to do so.  After that incident, I always remind myself that if I don't give much thought about the outcome, I...
